Growing up with access to horses was a fortunate experience that taught me a lot. I never had a person teach me how to ride, but the horses themselves taught me. This is how I learned how amazing these animals are. I want to share this experience with our youth by providing a place and events for them to learn and grow.

I am the “horse husband” which means I carry the feed bags and hold the horses. I’m 62 years old, husband to a beautiful wife, father to 2 wonderful sons and grandfather to 4 awesome grandkids.
Jesus is my savior. Through Him all things are possible. God bless you one and all and I’ll see you out there in the dirt!

I grew up on a 480 acre farm in Marysville, KS. I moved to Jackson County in 2002 and have lived outside of Denison for 14 years with my husband and two young boys.

I graduated from Friend’s  University with my Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education and have been working teaching Special Education for the past couple years. I have owned horses for over 30 years and enjoy giving riding lessons, trail riding, competing in barrel
racing, and pole bending.

Over the years I have done a variety of other equestrian related activities including western pleasure, horse judging, ranch work, and colt training. Horses have always been my escape and therapeutic for me when life gets hard.

I feel everyone should have a hobby they truly enjoy and helps them live life to the fullest!
